Rome is like that one friend who always exaggerates about how amazing they are, but then you visit and realize they were actually downplaying it!

So, in 2021, I was like, "Ciao, Italy!" Despite COVID restrictions trying to cramp my style, I was all, "Sorry, not sorry!" The moment countries opened their doors, I was like, "Bags packed, Europe, here I come!"

"Yes, I have finally arrived to this Capital of the World! I now see all the dreams of my youth coming to life… Only in Rome is it possible to understand Rome." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, German poet.

So, get this - I was practically neighbors with the Vatican City, and boy, was that a genius move on my part! I mean, I was practically waving to St. Peter's Square from my window. I roamed around the city like a lost puppy, pretending I knew what I was doing. And guess what? I totally nailed the whole "blend in" game. Thank you, sun-kissed skin and my impressive three Italian phrases in my back pocket. Bella giornata! È delizioso. Hai un bagno?

Rome is beautiful and a must but you need to plan!

So, I had this epic week hanging out in and around Rome. Let me tell you, that place is like a fine wine - eternal! It's the kind of city that whispers sweet nothings in your ear, making you want to come back for more. My advice? Do your homework before the big trip, snag those museum and tour tickets early, and if you can swing it, go on a night guided tour! Then, just sit back, relax, and soak it all in for your final days there. Rome is a real showstopper, and trust me, she never fails to impress.
